One School, One Family: Fayetteville to honor its seniors Friday
Senior Night Celebration
FAYETTEVILLE, Ala. - All across the world kids cannot wait to be seniors, until they are one. Leaving home, being independent, and starting the real world is all they seem to think about. Until it becomes a reality, it all seems so far away. But truly, you “blink” and it is all coming to an end. All the “lasts” are happening before you even realize it. Kids these days don’t seem to enjoy the now, it is all about the future.
On Friday night, the Fayetteville Wolves Football program will be hit pretty hard with this reality. They call it “Senior Night”, but in all seriousness, it is so much more than that. It is the night where all the emotions hit everyone at once. All will experience parents crying in the stands, kids will realize they will not be in high school forever, and underclassmen will hear “you will be here in no time” one too many times.
This year's FHS Senior class is something special. They hold records, make history, set different examples, the ones that teachers “lean” on, but most importantly, they are seen as one big family. The class of 2027 will be missed by all. It is times like Friday night where we can all get a close up of what it truly means to be a family in heart and not just in blood.
The Lady Wolves Volleyball program has already held their Senior Night ceremony earlier this season. Although, you can best believe you will see all of those seniors at “Farmlinks Field” to support their “brothers and sisters” this Friday. They all support one another, no matter what. Band, cheer, football, volleyball, they will be there cheering one another on.
With this being said, we can just add to the list of why Fayetteville is so special. This school is different in the best way! Smart kids, successful adults, and independent members of society.
You have a free Friday night? You will not regret coming out to support the Fayetteville Wolves on October 16th. 6:30p.m. is when the Senior Night ceremony begins leading up to a 7:00p.m. kick off! Make sure to come out and show these kids some love!
