McArthur, rebuilt Lady Wolves off to strong start

Story by Kenleigh McArthur

The Lady Wolves volleyball team is on a mission this season. After losing six seniors last year, Coach Ginger McArthur’s Wolves had something to prove. With only four returning players, three of whom are seniors this season, the nine-woman roster is out to make a name for itself.

A five-year starter, Kenleigh McArthur, set a personal record at Tuesday night's game against the Ranburne Bulldogs. With two double-doubles to start the season off, McArthur already has 65 kills in six games. Not to mention with senior Isabella Kelley, senior Kenleigh McArthur, and freshman Caylee Bullard on the back line, the Lady Wolves defense is on fire.

It takes a lot to have a successful program, but it is even more impressive to maintain one. The four-year varsity head coach for the Fayetteville Lady Wolves, Ginger McArthur, has won more than her fair share of games. Always putting in the extra work, these ladies are ready for any challenges the upcoming season may throw at them.
