Fayetteville Volleyball's season ends with Sub-Regional loss to Wadley

FAYETTEVILLE, Ala. - Short-handed against a highly touted Wadley team, Fayetteville stayed competitive but couldn’t take a set in its Class 1A North Sub-Regional match.

The Wolves played without senior Kenleigh McArthur, a former Alabama High School Volleyball Coaches Association Class 1A Player of the Year, and head coach Ginger McArthur.

Wadley won the opener 25-18, followed with a 25-19 victory and held off Fayetteville in the third to complete the sweep.

The loss closed the high school careers of McArthur, Marissa McDickinson and Isabella Kelley. The three seniors leave a lasting mark on Fayetteville volleyball, including an area championship in their final season.
